Ultra Clean will be opening up a new facility in Cavan which will serve its European customer base. This will also enable them to capitalise on longer-term growth opportunities. Ultra Clean is a US semiconductor services company and as a result of this new facility, they are set to hire for 100 new roles in Cavan and expand their offering further globally.
This expansion will lead to the company hiring for people for facilities, on-site shipping, engineering, manufacturing, quality control, customer service, on-site shipping and receiving, and sales positions. Ultra Clean is in the process of building its new advanced technology cleaning facility at the IDA Ireland Business and Technology Park situated in Killygarry, County Cavan. The site is predicted to be in operation in the third quarter of 2022.
The new Irish facility will be part of the company’s services division. The Irish facility will provide coating and ultra-high purity cleaning for tool chamber parts in addition to chipmakers, micro-contamination analytical services, and equipment providers. Once finished, the facility will act as the company’s 15th services site. The base will support Europe-based customers and Intel primarily.
President of Ultra Clean’s services division, Bill Bentimck has said the facility will allow the business to better serve its European customers and deliver value so they can capitalise on longer-term growth opportunities. He has also said they will be collaborating with IDA Ireland to get the Irish expansion moving. IDA Ireland has supported numerous other businesses in the last few weeks on their hiring plans around Ireland, including Analog Devices, Gong, and Telus.
