Pharmaceutical company Alexion are creating 200 new jobs in West Dublin.
Alexion are investing €450 million to expand their facilities at College Park near Blanchardstown.
Alexion is a global biopharmaceutical company focused on developing and delivering life-transforming therapies for patients with severe and life-threatening rare diseases.
The companies global supply chain and quality operations facility is based in Ireland.
The addition of another 200 staff over the four years, will bring their total Irish workforce up to 500 employees.
During the building phase, a further 800 construction jobs will also be created.
Speaking about the project, Alexion’s Irish executive VP for global operations Julie O’Neill said it: “further underscores our commitment to Ireland and is enabled by our ability to recruit highly competent and professional personnel”.
Tanaiste Joan Burton praised Alexion's investment in Ireland saying the firm brings the “miracle of hope to parents of children who have life limiting and life threatening conditions”.
