Established in 1982 Control Equipment Ltd (CEL) is a leading manufacturer of Switchgear and Motor Control Centres. CEL is an authorised licensee for the ABB MNS range of Fixed and Withdrawable Switchgear. From their base in Dublin, CEL supplies to projects worldwide.

Dave Hayde, the current chairperson, established Control Equipment Limited in 1982. In 2000, CEL moved to their current premises at Citywest Business Campus in 2000. As a result, this enabled the company to manage local market needs. In addition, it allowed them to manage the requirements of manufacturing equipment for their major multi-national projects.
CEL opened their sales offices in Amman, Jordan and also in Doha, Qatar in 2009. Finally, in 2012, the company opened a second manufacturing facility in Dublin to meet the growing demand for their products and services.
