Revenue is the Irish Tax and Customs administration. Our mission is “To serve the Community by fairly and efficiently collecting taxes and duties and implementing customs controls”.
Our workforce of almost 7,000 people supports compliance for 3.2 million employments, 0.2 million employers, 1 million businesses, 0.3 million VAT traders, 0.1 million customs traders and 1.4 million property owners.
In 2022, Revenue collected c.€114 billion gross in taxes and duties for the Exchequer. We are a large, decentralised organisation with offices in over 30 locations nationwide. Revenue is also responsible for trade facilitation and frontier control.
